Mango is popularly known as “National fruit of India.” Mangifera indica is common mango variety that is grown widely around India. The tree starts flowering in March and fruits take 3 – 6 months to ripe.
Raw mangoes are used to prepare summer drinks, pickles, powder (Aamchur), papads, etc. This is picture is taken from outside of a public garden where Mango tree stands at the entrance. At this time of year, it is full with raw mangoes hanging in bunch over its branches.
