This is very common view in Punjab. You can find wherever there is Kikar (Acacia nilotica) tree, Weaver Birds’ nest hanging around. The main reason is that this tree has thorns and thus keep animals, reptiles, birds and people away from destroying or plucking these nests and their babies.
Male Weaver birds are brightly colored in reds and yellows. The nests are made by male birds to lure female birds. Mostly gregarious in nature, so number of nests are found on a single tree. They are usually made from leaf-fibers, grass, and twigs.
