When my uncle and aunt (Chacha and Chachi Ji) and their kids used to come at our place, they used to bring their basic commodities with them such as chapals, towels, soaps, oil and even toothpaste. I contributed this habit of theirs to the military life they are accustomed to because of my Chacha ji’s transfer and service posts all over India and sometimes abroad.
Now when I have to shuffle between my parents’ home and city place, I strongly realized how I need to take along with me my belongings. I totally declare that I cannot live without my mobile, laptop, books, purse, library cards, some money, ATM card, brush, comb, face wash but never ever I thought of soap, oil, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.
Not that I could hesitate to ask for these things even if I am at my sister’s place and that I could not get them at my parents’ place but because I formed a habit of my products. I need Boroline while my mother likes Ponds and my sister could be using Loreal cream and another one using Nivea and so on. So, in my 3 day of stay at my sister’s place, I am feeling totally like sage in the forest who is completely motivated, enlightened but without worldly pleasures of beauty products.
Tomorrow, I am going back to my parents’ home to splurge in my weekly pursuit of grooming and I will, for God’s sake, never forget to consider my traveling list (even for short duration) in length.
